Pricing and fees

1. Transparent Pricing Architecture

Digital Hut Events operates on a transparent, flexible pricing and fee engine designed to scale with your business requirements. Administrators define platform fees, which can be configured as a fixed fee per ticket, a percentage-based commission, or a combination of both.

2. Fee Calculation Formulas

Total Cost to Attendee

The total cost of a ticket transaction equals the baseline ticket price set by the organizer plus any applied platform fees (unless the organizer chooses to absorb the fees into the ticket price):

Total Cost = Ticket Price + Platform Fees

Organizer Net Payout

The final net payout transferred to an organizer's gateway wallet following an event is calculated by subtracting the platform's fixed fee and percentage-based commission from the gross ticket sales:

Net Payout = (Ticket Price x Quantity) - Platform Fixed Fee - (Ticket Price x Commission Percentage)

3. Example Scenario

If an organizer lists a paid ticket for ZMW50, and the platform administrator has configured a fixed fee of $0.50 per ticket and a 5% platform commission:

  • Platform Earnings per Ticket:

    ZMW0.50 + (ZMW50 x 0.05) = ZMW3.00

  • Organizer Net Payout per Ticket:

    ZMW50.00 - ZMW3.00 = ZMW47.00

4. Free Events

Administrators have the capability to configure whether platform fees are completely waived for free events or if a minimal ticketing administration fee applies.

5. Payout and Settlement Workflow

  • All customer payments are processed securely through trusted, integrated payment gateway Lenco.

  • Organizers receive their accumulated net revenue payouts upon event completion or according to the scheduled payout release configurations governed by the system administrator.
